About Me

About Me - My name is Cathy Deaton. I accepted Jesus as my Savior at an early age, was raised in church, and have been there all my life.

For many years it was enough just to go to church and participate in all the activities there. The more I started to seek God, though, the more I found myself being miserable in just doing good works in the church. It seemed like there was a huge hole in my life that I just couldn't figure out how to fill.

I finally realized that I had put God into a small box and just expected Him to stay there and work on a very small scale when and where I let Him.

I never really realized that He wanted to have a personal relationship with me and wanted to use me in a marvelous way to further His Kingdom here on earth. As I studied the Bible more and more, I started to see just a small bit of who God really is, and how He wants to bless His children.

The more I studied the Bible, my eyes were opened to understand that God gave the Bible to Christians so that they could have a blueprint to follow in order to live a victorious life and know how to defeat the enemy.

There is nothing in this world that can compare to the feeling you have that God chose you of all people to work through in a certain situation - that He chose to work a miracle through you.

There is also nothing like hearing God speak to you through the Holy Spirit so that you are certain about a situation. Then He also speaks to others and tells them the same thing he told you. It is a marvelous thing to be able to be in on the way God does things.

I never want to go back to the way I used to be. God has totally changed my life. I just can't thank and praise Him enough for what He has done for me.

Please read the short articles on this site and let God minister to you through them. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind and heart to truly understand what they say. You must understand the things of God with your heart and mind - you can't understand Him with just your mind alone.

I have also written a book called Handbook for Victorious Christian Living that gives practical ways to live a victorious Christian life. God has taught me these things over the past 10 years, and it has totally changed my life.
