Have you learned to be content in your circumstances?
Philippians 4: 11-13 Paul said: I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
I have learned - (mueo - pronounced moo-eh-o) and (manthano - pronounced man-than-o) to learn by use and practice, to acquire the habit of, be accustomed to Passive Voice Perfect Tense - would be something that you have already learned, but are still applying to be c.o.n.t.e.n.t - (autarkes - pronounced ow-tar-kace) sufficient in oneself, adequate, needing no assistance, to be strong, to be enough for a thing, to be satisfied abased - (tapeinoo - pronounced tap-i-no-o) depressed, humiliated, cast down, or low degree abound - (perisseuo - pronounced per-is-syoo-o) to superabound, be in excess, be superfluous, enough and to spare, exceed, excel all (pas and hapas) radically means all, hapas is a strengthened form of pas, and signifies quite all, the whole strengtheneth - (endunamoo - pronounced en-doo-nam-o-o) increased in strength, to strengthen
Paul had been in just about every situation possible in his time of service to God. He had learned to be satisfied no matter where he was or what happened, because he had sold out completely to God and knew that he had everything under control. Paul knew that he did not have to endure anything in his own strength, but he could do everything with Gods strength. Every Christian who truly desires to follow God must learn patience to wait on His timing. The strength to do anything will always be there for you if you learn to walk with Him instead of ahead or behind.
