Learn to give liberally if you want to receive in the same manner!

Luke 6: 38

Give, and it shall be granted unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye met withal it shall be measured to you again.

The Amplified Bible says it this way:

G, and [gifts] will be granted to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you.

G - (didomi - pronounced did-o-mee)

this word is used in a wide application such as adventure, bestow, bring forth, commit, deliver up, grant, have power

good measure - (metron - pronounced met-ron)

valuable or virtuous; for appearance or use, beautiful; a limited portion or degree

pressed down - (piezo - pronounced pee-ed-zo)

pack down, to squeeze, seize gently by the hand, apprehend, catch, lay hands on, take

shaken together - (saleuo - pronounced sal-yoo-o)

to waver, agitate, rock, topple or destroy, to disturb, be stirred up

running over - (huperekehuno - pronounced hoop-er-eh-khoo-no)

to pour out over, to overflow

mete - (metreo - pronounced met-reh-o)

to measure, estimate, ascertain in size by fixed standard

measured to you again - (antimetreo - pronounced an-tee-met-reh-o)

to mete in return

In Bible days the people wore loose, large robes that could carry a lot if needed. Some of the different layers could be used in the same way that we would use a bag today.

God has set up laws so that every Christian who abides by them can live a life of victory against Satan. You must set your heart and mind to follow God's plans.

Remember that the spirit you use when you confer benefits on others will be the same thing that comes back to you, so learn to have a generous heart.
